From Altenbeken you can go on hikes and excursions in practically all directions. On hiking tours through the Paderborn region, into the cultural region of Höxter or on the Eggeweg (European route "E1") you can experience nature and landscape with all your senses. Hiking to the nearby sights (Hermannsdenkmal, Externsteine ​​and much more) is also highly recommended - or explore the wonderful surroundings around Altenbeken (5 - 25 km) on circular hiking trails under the motto: Railway and springs.

Since Altenbeken is a railway junction, you can also hike a longer distance and return to the starting point by train. On request we will be happy to provide you with maps or prepare a packed lunch for you.
